A bizarre turn of events leaves one woman dead and the other charged with her death. In the early morning hours on Sunday, September 30th 2012, two young women were driving west on Richmond when they side swiped the back corner of a stopped police vehicle. Following the collision their vehicle careened across a median into a nearby parking lot. As the vehicle crossed the median, the female passenger, who had been hanging out the window, struck a palm tree. She unfortunately succumbed to her injuries and died at the scene. The driver of the vehicle was subsequently arrested and charged with intoxication manslaughter.
